What is Inspired by...?
Inspired by... is the V&A's national annual art competition celebrating Adult Learners' Week. It takes place at Manchester Art Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and Tyne & Wear Museums, Newcastle upon Tyne.
It is aimed at encouraging adults to visit and take inspiration from works of art in museums and galleries in order to create their own artwork inspired by the collections.
Twenty winners are selected in Manchester and the works are displayed at Manchester Art Gallery and Manchester Central Library during May - July each year. The deadline for submissions for next year's competition is Monday 2 March 2009. You will find all the details about applying in the competition information sheet. You can also download the application form from this page.
