We have invited artists who have their work on display in the CIS Manchester gallery and The Gallery of Craft and Design, to work with you and your students. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artist, share their passion and expertise and discover their process and methodology. This year we have textiles, digital ceramics and urban portraits.
Daniel draws inspiration from his daily journeys into the city. He collects materials, flyers, images and newspapers to make collages and mixed media paintings. Using CAD, he prints drawings and paintings onto cloth, which can be used for fashion or interiors.

It was developed in partnership with artists, curators and teachers. We can work with schools to deliver training to support the development of pupils' speaking and listening skills. Using a series of drama and questioning techniques and a variety of visual resources, we will demonstrate the role of artworks as a stimulus for cross-curricular planning and create opportunities for staff to work co-operatively to devise creative learning experiences.

We can visit your school to attend staff meetings and demonstrate how art works featured on the gallery website can be used with interactive whiteboards. This is a fantastic opportunity to prepare or extend an actual visit to the gallery.
